Adjacent to the community is the Superstition Gateway shopping plaza with stores such as Best Buy, Kohls, Wal-Mart, PetSmart, Ross, Bed Bath & Beyond, Staples, and many specialty stores for shoppers. An IMAX Theatre, LA Fitness, several restaurants, banks, and service businesses are also part of the plaza. Medical facilities are just a matter of minutes away. Two new hospitals, Mountain Vista Medical Center and Banner Gateway Hospital, opened in 2007, joining Banner Baywood Medical Center and Banner Heart Hospital also located in the East Valley. Within a mile of Sunland Springs Village is the Superstition Freeway (US Hwy 60). It won’t take you long to get to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, or even closer is the newly opened Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. The convenience of the nearby freeway makes it easy to get to sports events, entertainment, shopping, and Arizona’s sightseeing attractions.
