Brightwood Builders is a general contracting firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Tim Carter, owner and project manager, has been remodeling high end homes in the east bay for over 15 years. After attending the University of Arizona, he moved back to the Bay Area and into a home in Berkeley built in 1906. The tired old home needed some work, and in his spare time he renovated it room by room and found he had a passion for bringing the beauty out in a home. After spending over 10 years honing his skills in building, fabricating and installing custom cabinetry and managing remodeling projects, Tim established Brightwood Builders in 2012. A native of Piedmont, Tim excels in his ability to turn a concept into functional form with an eye towards bringing out an existing home’s characteristics and marrying them with modern conveniences. Tim uses on his artistic background to render architectural drawings. Combining this with his building expertise he achieves a one-stop shop as a design and build company. Alfredo, the head foreman at Brightwood Builders, has been building in the bay area for over 25 years. His hard work and dedication to his craft are evident as you watch him take on complex projects. His ability to build efficiently and creatively keeps all of us at Brightwood Builders continually learning from his expertise. Alfredo works with clients and subcontractors to keep the jobs moving forward while clearly communicating as the process unfolds.
