Marion Oaks

Marion Oaks is the perfect blend of comfort, style, and unsurpassed value. The expansive 15,000-acre development is now home to more than 15,000 residents. It was launched by Mackel Brothers builders in 1973 with an instant neighborhood core of homes. The Marion Oaks Community is located on pretty pastured lands with rolling hills and ancient oak trees. There are numerous parks and playgrounds throughout the community allowing access to miles of hiking, biking and horseback riding trails. Residents enjoy the Marion Oaks Community Center with a 450 seat auditorium, meeting rooms, well-stocked library and recreational facilities including lighted multi-purpose sports courts. Marion Oaks offers two championship 18-hole public golf courses. The community also provides convenient shopping areas and dining options. There are many different houses of worship, a fire station, along with many clubs, organizations, and civic groups. Marion Oaks is located about 18 miles southwest of Ocala, which is central to almost everything in central Florida. Ocala is part of the area of Florida known as the Horse Capitol of the World, and a large number of people connected to the industry live in the area. Also notable is the city's comprehensive dining scene and array of family-friendly activities.
