Tarpon Key

Tarpon Key is a community just one mile from downtown Tarpon Springs and the culturally and historically important Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks, once home to the nation’s biggest sponge-diving industry. At Tarpon Key, residents enjoy a private pier with a gated boat launch on the Anclote River, which accommodates small watercraft. In downtown Tarpon Springs, rich with sites on the National Register of Historic Places, antique shops, bakeries, and sidewalk cafés, visitors also partake in the city’s regular arts festivals. Tarpon Key is convenient to US 19 for access to Pinellas County and Tampa.
