The Rigsbys got into the construction business over 30 years ago for one reason: a passion for building and design. Many of today’s builders inherited their companies through family or got involved through a trade, but Rigsby Builders is built on a love for creating beautiful spaces that makes people’s homes and work spaces better. One of The Rigsby’s first endeavors was creating a sprawling 55 acre development for luxury, estate homes, woven through nature preserves and untouched habitats. A great deal of time was spent contacting the owners of the surrounding farmland and working with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to cultivate the wooded, rolling land that Steeple Run is today. Two homes from this development were featured in Chicago’s annual Luxury Home Tour, launching Rigsby Builders onto the residential building scene as a premier builder. This early experience of collaboration, intentionality, and quality workmanship has stuck with Rigsby Builders throughout years of construction, which has now expanded into the commercial sector as well.
