Living in Bartlett, IL Bartlett is a village located in Cook, DuPage, and Kane counties, in Illinois, with a population of just over 40,000 residents. In its earliest times, the area was a hunting and camping ground for the Native American Cherokee, Miami, Potawatomi, and Ottawa tribes. The village, incorporated in 1892, is named for the Bartlett family, a local family who, in 1873, donated money and 20-acres of land to the construction of a train depot. That original railroad station still stands today and is currently the home of the Bartlett Depot Museum. Bartlett is perhaps best known for having one of the largest Little League programs in the country until 2010. The village features an incredibly low crime rate and, in 2016, was named the 9th safest city in the United States.
