Spanning 20 acres of rolling hills and quiet wooded areas, Legacy Park is the Verdae community's recreational centerpiece. Tranquil water features and landscaped pathways provide space to enjoy the natural world, while more than 10 acres of picturesque greens and miles of paved walkways provide ideal venues for family picnics, outdoor games, biking, or walking dogs. South Carolina is known across the country as a haven for golfers and the Verdae community is no exception. Designed by Willard Byrd and opened in 1991, The Preserve at Verdae Golf Club features five sets of tees to accommodate golfers of every skill level. The lush greens and vibrant pastels of the course are sure to brighten every player's round.

The newest community gathering spot is the Verdae YMCA located directly across from the park in Legacy Square. The Verdae Y features cardio and strength training equipment, group exercise classes and the option for physical activity outdoors.
