Crestview
Crestview is north of Justin Lane and is bordered by Burnet Road, which has been changing quite a bit over the last few years, with lots of “SoCo-ish” shops and places to eat popping up along the way. It is a nice neighborhood full of houses originally built in the 40’s and 50's, and it's a little farther away from UT than Hyde Park, so there are less students. The neighborhood is very relaxed, with movies in the local park, and ice cream socials every so often during the summer. A local landmark in Crestview is a total 1950's shopping center complete with barbershop, beauty salon, pharmacy, and independent grocer. Also, the iconic Top Notch Hamburgers, as featured in the film, "Dazed and Confused," resides in Crestview. Another historic Austin institution that you can find in Crestview is the Frisco Shop on Burnet Road—this diner started in 1953 and is the last survivor of a chain of 7 Nighthawk restaurants in Texas
