Thomas E. Dreiss is currently the owner/general partner of numerous real estate development projects totaling over 5,400 acres, and serves as a consultant on several other projects. His main focus is on developing master-planned communities in environmentally sensitive areas. From July 1987 to July 1995, Mr. Dreiss worked for USAA Real Estate Company, serving as Planning Director of the La Cantera Development Company. Mr Dreiss responsibilities included land acquisition, development planning, securing project entitlements, and monitoring environmental issues for the 1,600 acre, $250 million La Cantera project. As part of La Cantera, Mr. Dreiss was involved in the planning, design and construction of Fiesta Texas, an 18-hole Championship Golf Course, a proposed value retail center, and other related projects.
