Life in Yale Street Place is fantastic! A wide mix of ethnic grocery stores and restaurants, pubs and nightclubs, and art galleries can be found in this neighborhood. The George R. Brown Convention Center, as well as the core of Downtown Houston, are both within walking distance. A new MetroRail Green Line provides easy access to Houston's Downtown and Midtown neighborhoods, while the new Dynamo soccer stadium centers more parks, restaurants, and nightlife. Uptown (also known as The Galleria Area) is a business district in Houston, Texas, that is concentrated along Post Oak Boulevard and Westheimer Road. It is 6.2 miles west of Downtown. Woodway Drive to the north, I-610 (West Loop) to the east, Richmond Avenue to the south, and Yorktown Street to the west are the boundaries of the Uptown District. This glamorous sector attracts tourists and locals alike, thanks to its famous mall-that-is-more-than-a-mall and the neighborhood's hottest eateries and drinkeries. It's also the 17th largest business district in the United States, with over 700 stores, fine restaurants, sports, and hotels spread across over two square miles.
