Everything from recreation to retail abounds in Oakhurst. An integral part of Kingwood’s master plan is its recreation, rich with indoor and outdoor activities. Residents enjoy the use of numerous parks as well as Lake Houston, which provides additional outdoor recreation. With over 20 community swimming pools, almost every village has a place to splash. The Lodge at Oakhurst community is open to all residents in Oakhurst at Kingwood. The central recreation facility features a community room, children’s pool and fountain as well as a metered pool and slides and a playground.
