Triana’s gated greenbelt surroundings, with two convenient entrances, showcase such resort-style features as a pool and two parks, with the added bonus that schools are located right in the neighborhood. Triana is located in the city of Helotes, which bills itself as the place “Where the Hill Country Begins.” With its freshly revitalized downtown, the city not only embodies small-town charm, but embraces and even showcases some of the Lone Star State’s most beloved traditions, especially music. It’s in Helotes that John T. Floore’s Country Store still operates after some six decades, an open-air dance hall where a permanent sign reads, with endearing optimism, “Willie Nelson plays here next week.”
