Oak Terrace Preserve

Oak Terrace Preserve is a 55-acre residential project located near the former Charleston Navy Base, close to the newly-revitalized Old North Charleston Buesiness District. Only minutes from prime shopping, major employers, award winning schools, and the airport, Oak Terrace Preserve is unique. The development will include over 300 single family homes and 70 townhouses. Each will be built to energy efficient and environmentally friendly Earth Craft standards, creating a remarkable neighborhood! What makes Oak Terrace Preserve really stand out is that the overall design includes tree-managment, storm-water management, and sustainable envrionnmental programs. The tree-management program has the goal of preserving the neighborhood's 400 live oaks, pines, and other trees, making this a neighborhood of "pocket parks" and beautiful treescapes. The storm-water management program includes innovations like rain gardens and "bioswales" to collect storm water runoff and return it to the water table, feeding the small parks and the nearby Fillbin Creek Restoration Project.
