Founded in 1837, and birthplace of Martin Luther King Jr. you can see that Atlanta is rich in history. In 1886 Coca-Cola was invented by Dr. John S. Pemberton, and by 1996 the city had grown so much they were able to host the Olympics. As you can see Atlanta is constantly making strides towards the future.
As Georgia is known for its peaches and peanuts, you won't want to miss out, grab a bag at an Atlanta Braves game, or sit court side of the Atlanta Hawks. Grab breakfast at one of downtowns local dives before spending the day walking through the Zoo Atlanta, absorbing history at a museum like the Jimmy Carter Library, catching a CNN broadcast, a theme park, or puppet show. Find yourself lost shopping for hours in the malls, or even join a country club so you can golf and swim to your heart's content. Now that you're weary you can lounge out at Floataway Cafe, or any other of Atlanta's finest.

Students enjoy field trips to the interactive children's museum, and even the King Center to learn about Dr. King's nonviolent approach, and inspire the youth of Atlanta. By day the park maintains a friendly atmosphere with kids running through the fountains and having picnics under trees, but by night when the rings light up for the show it becomes a breathtaking sight all ages will enjoy.
Whether you're newlyweds, or just have the babysitter for a couple more hours, be sure to embrace the Atlanta nightlife. For a high end night, dress up and attend the Atlanta Opera, or Broadway in Atlanta, a branch of Broadway Across America. If you would rather relax, there are numerous taverns and bars with live music as you play a round of pool, or find yourself on stage for some karaoke, but if you're looking for some electrifying music and dancing, don't fret, Atlanta has the fun you're looking for!
