Pittsburgh prides itself on being the most reliable city it can be. Between supporting their very own Pittsburgh Steelers football team, or creating a family-friendly environment for all ages to enjoy, Pittsburgh is a city that is there to please. Even before its official start in 1816, Pittsburgh has always been looked upon as dependable, as it was here that the boat used in Lewis and Clark expedition was constructed, Johnny Appleseed planted himself for 12 years, and the old classic "Oh, Susanna" first premiered.
One of the main attractions Pittsburgh has to offer is the Monongahela Incline, which is the steepest in the United States, and displays the beautiful city below you, as well as acting as a means of commute. After your ride above the city, be sure to stop at the local Primantis sandwich shop, where you must try the coleslaw and philly cheese steak. Then you can finish your day by taking in one of the many sporting events, whether it is a Steelers football game, catching a foul ball from the Pirates, or getting a front row seat behind the penalty box at a Penguins hockey game, all fans are welcomed.
If that's not enough for you head outside (you might want to bring a light jacket as the average temperature year round is about 55 degrees Fahrenheit) to Point State Park which houses the largest fountain in the United States. It is known by locals as the "Glass Castle", for its more than 250ft geyser. Just 15 minutes down the road from there is Pittsburgh's very own Zoo and Aquarium, they are currently show casing its new baby gorilla!
Pittsburgh is constantly making initiatives to reduce crime, and keep its community and residents safe, as it is a constantly growing from its over 300,000 inhabitants. So come check out this beautiful city. Let New Home Source help you find a reliable new home, in this reliable city. All that's missing is you.
