A place that everyone feels at home whether they are locals or visitors is the city of Washington, Pennsylvania. As you walk through the city, you will have that warm welcoming feeling as if you are stepping through the door into a friend's house. Memories will be made with those around you, as everyone in this town lives life to the fullest.

The residents are able to live life to the fullest because of everything Washington offers them. Historic homes, like the David Bradford House and the LeMoyne House, which is Pennsylvania's first national historic landmark of the Underground Railroad, have been restored for residents to learn the roots of this town. Another distinguished building, the Washington and Jefferson College, is one of the oldest universities in the U.S. but also one of the most prestigious. Washington also embraces the surrounding nature, and Washington Park captures the beauty perfectly. There are trails, sidewalks and picnic areas for nature lovers and sports fields, courts and pools for sport lovers. Throughout the city there are three fun playgrounds for children to run wild and free.

One of Washington's main attractions is the CONSOL Energy Park. It is home to the independent baseball team, the Washington Wild Things. They have had tremendous success and seeing them play in the stadium is an entertaining experience. The stadium also hosts concerts for artists like the Counting Crows and Trace Adkins, which are sure to be some of the most entertaining and memorable nights of your life! The PONY Baseball and Softball headquarters and PONY League World Series, for ages 13 and 14, are hosted in Washington as well. If baseball isn't your sport, maybe football is. The Pittsburgh Steelers are nearby, and this city supports the team 100 percent! In fact, when they won Super Bowl XL in 2006 they officially renamed the city Steelers, Pennsylvania for one week.

There are also chances to enjoy the culture and performing arts of Washington. Off the Wall Productions puts on plays and musicals for the residents. So does the Washington Community Theater, Inc. which even hosts one show at Washington Park in the Main Pavilion. Another way to enjoy the arts is to go see one or more of the five concerts performed by the Washington Symphony Orchestra.

After visiting Washington, Pennsylvania, you are going to return shortly with all your belongings and greeted with, "Welcome home". Let New Home Source help you find a new home that will suit you best!
