Frisco was ranked as the fastest growing city in the nation in 2009; but this great city has humble beginnings as a small town that served wary settlers on cattle drives north from Austin. When the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway was later being built through the area, watering stations were needed for the steam engines along the route.
