Although it has a name that sounds like it came straight out of an old Western, Buckeye, Arizona is more modern-day than Old West. With 30 master-planned communities, including the Verrado planned urban community, Tartesso, Sundance, and Festival Ranch, this fast-growing suburban community in the Sun Valley is the next big thing. However, that doesn't mean it suffers from a big head; in fact, for all its success in business and industry, it remains a good place to get away from the pressure of a city lifestyle and raise a family.

As a brochure from the Economic Development office tells it, "The Greater Phoenix region is home to more than 4 million people and is among the nation's fastest growing markets, even in this current economic climate." Truer words have rarely been spoken, and the town of Buckeye, just west of Phoenix, is poised to benefit from Phoenix's dynamic business climate. Interstate 10 links it to the rest of the southwestern United States, including California, one of the nation's largest economies. This fast-growing city would make a great home for an entrepreneur looking to grow their own business.

You really can't say no to restaurants with names like Milestone Cafe, Darla's Country Kitchen, or Sheep Camp Incorporated. Many of them are easy to find in the heart of Buckeye's downtown. Though traditional in its love for home cooking, Buckeye deviates from tradition in many ways, and it shows. Instead of "Main Street", Buckeye has a "Monroe Avenue". This is a town that is always progressing forward.

New development in the area ensures you will have a wealth of shopping and dining options to choose from. Keep your eyes open for your new favorite hangouts, such as Sundance Crossings, the Shoppes at Miller, and the Watson Marketplace. And these are just a few hints of what's coming-- the city leaders are constantly working to attract and retain top talent.

And yes, this is also an amazing place to raise a family. Warm, friendly, and nurturing, the community goes out of its way to welcome newcomers, particularly those with children. A variety of festivities celebrate that sense of community: Country Fest in the fall, Pioneer Days in the spring, and an "Old-Fashioned Independence Day Fourth of July."

There is also an active youth and adult sports culture. Dr. Saide Recreational Center is a popular place for youth sports, but there are many parks all over the city where you'll go to cheer on your little ones-- or head out to play ball with your grown-up friends and neighbors. Soccer, flag football, and cheerleading are particularly popular with kids while softball is the biggest adult league.

It's clear Buckeye has a lot to offer, but our new homes have a lot to offer too. Let New Home Source help you make your move to the Sun Valley of Arizona.
