Nestled smack dab in the center of Texas Hill Country you'll find the beautiful rolling landscape Lakeway residents call home. This hidden gem is just a few minutes west of Austin, yet feels like a vacation getaway from the fast-paced city. It is the idea place to go to raise a family, or enjoy your retirement.
Lakeway is a very active community, as it is beside Lake Travis. Residents splurge on boats and jet skis so they can spend as much time as possibly on the lake whether that be swimming, skiing, tubing, or just going for a relaxing afternoon ride. You can even zip line across Lake Travis, to get the best view of the town you'll soon fall in love with. Off the water there is a huge skate park great for parties and just hanging out, and a swim center with basketball and volleyball courts, climbing wall, frog slide, lily pads, and large slides for the big kids, and every adult's inner child. In the summer there are "dive in movies" and water aerobics! Not to mention the clean parks, and challenging hiking trails.
Lakeway restaurants are endless as they extend to Austin, and the same goes for the shopping. I definitely recommend the Domain for the ladies, and the Round Rock outlet malls! Golf is always at your fingertips and is a great to relax after a long week of working. And while you're golfing, drop the kids off at Main Event or Dave and Busters to keep them busy playing games for a couple hours. Speaking of kids, the schools are some of the best in the city, all geared towards preparing the youth of today to be the future of tomorrow.
Once you're settled in head over to Austin or the surrounding areas. Town Lake is a city favorite; you can rent paddle boards, canoes, water bikes, even a swan boat if you're really trying to impress the ladies. Sports are a big part of the city whether it's a University of Texas football game, Round Rock Express baseball, or even a Texas Stars hockey game you'll have to try them out at least once. Then after the sun starts to dip down, try dinner at the Oasis-- believe me it's breathtaking from the balcony-- or head on down to 6th street and downtown for high energy nightlife.
It won't take you long to find your own hotspots, so come on over, the neighborhood is waiting to welcome you home. New Home Source is ready to get the ball rolling and get you the house you've been looking for.
