Not to be confused with Orange County, California, Orange is a city located in Orange County, California. The city is relatively quiet and dates way back to the late 1800’s. A lot of the houses are preserved to reflect the long history of this city which can particularly be annoying to folks who’d prefer modern houses. So don’t buy a house around those preserved places unless you are ready to maintain the status quo.
While many neighboring cities demolished their houses in the 1920’s, Orange CA has decided to preserve them. Downtown is referred to as “The Plaza” with its old preserved town look and feel. Also, there are many small restaurants and bars to visit. With over a thousand prehistoric buildings, this city has been featured in over 100 Hollywood films.
The city is well-planned with a direct access to freeways, leading to San Diego, Long Beach, and Los Angeles. There is a plethora of fast food places, grocery stores, antique shops, hardware stores, and several shopping malls. The city is relatively safe and free from very bad neighborhoods. You can feel the gentle breeze from the Pacific Ocean late in the evenings or in the afternoon.
There are a lot of fun activities to get engaged in at Orange city. The Irvine Park or Hart Park is a perfect destination for jogging, hiking, biking, and picnic. You can explore the city’s heritage at the numerous antique stores in downtown Orange.
With over 800 antique dealers and numerous individual storefronts, Orange CA is the Antique capital of California. If you visit this city, make sure to check out the Orange Circle at Chapman and Glassell, which is the best place to a wide variety of modern bars.
