This master-planned community outside of D.C. has it all. First, the location: developers couldn't possibly have chosen better than pretty, prestigious Loudoun County. Then, the amenities: hiking and biking trails, two pools, and a clubhouse complete with fitness center and free Wifi. Ever wished for a community pool that catered either to kids, or to serious swimmers (but not both?) In Stone Ridge, there's a "social pool" for sunbathers, as well as the more competition-friendly 25- meter pool, plus an aquatic playground for kids. Finally, this area has some great shopping, within minutes of your doorstep. Stone Ridge Village Center ensures that you'll never have to go far for the basics: shop at stores like Harris Teeter, Bank of America, and Walgreen's, without burning up too much gas. If you are looking for a more eclectic shopping experience, frequent farmers' markets spice things up. For an even more social experience, don't miss the annual Homeowners' Festival, which brings neighbors together.
Of course, when you want to go farther afield, Stone Ridge is conveniently located near some of NoVa's favorite places, such as the Brambleton Regional Park Golf Course, and 18-hole course with its own full-service pro shop. Also nearby is the Eclips Salon and Day Spa. This is no ordinary mani-pedi place, either: Washingtonian magazine recently declared it a "Top Salon and Spa" in the metro area.
Looking for culture? The NoVa region has it in spades. Start with the Bluemont Concert Series, which brings high-quality live music performances to your neck of the woods, so you don't have to go all the way into D.C. Performances at the historic Oatlands Carriage House in historic Leesburg will inspire your artistic Muse. These artists have truly found a winning recipe: great theatre in a beautiful place.
Another local specialty is vino--that is, wine. Loudoun County wineries are well-known in the D.C. area, but remain a well-kept secret everywhere else. Come out and sample a few vintages, such as those of the Bogati Bodega Vineyard, Breaux Vineyards, and Catoctin Creek Distilling Company.
Stone Ridge parents need not worry about their children's future here. With a high rating on GreatSchools.org (8 out of 10), Stone Ridge's own Arcola Elementary School is the toast of the town. If you have older children, they have a lot to look forward to as well-- the brand-new Freedom High School gets better every year.
Let New Home Source help you find a home of your very own, so you can begin your life as a resident of this beautiful community in the shadow of the Bull Run Mountains.
