When you hear soapbox racing, what is the first thing that comes to mind? If you are a fan of the movie or cars in general, then it is a given that you would love to compete in a soapbox race. Well, the city of Menifee hosts their own Soap Box Derby every year. There are no "boys only clubs" or ugly rivalries here with age divisions, regulations and racer building clinics, it is competition at its finest. This annual race is just one thing that separates Menifee from cities across the nation.
Events like the Soap Box Derby bring this community together. Residents cross the threshold of their front doors instead of crossing the city limits to find exhilarating things to do. A handful of parks are sprawled throughout Menifee. Spending a day outdoors at one of the parks is the perfect way to take advantage of the beautiful California scenery. Stay late and you can catch Movies in the Park. Locals also love attending the Easter Egg Hunt, Annual Arts Showcase, Menifee Half Marathon & 5K, Father's Day Camp Out, Veteran's Memorial Day Event, National Night Out, the Independence Day Celebration and Parade, Christmas Tree Lighting and more. Here there are much more than holidays to celebrate!
If an event isn't planned for a celebration, take your friends and family out to one of the many great restaurants to celebrate yourself! The Breakfast Club of Menifee is not your ordinary coffee shop. Here the coffee beans come from the finest coffee roasters, all the ingredients are fresh, and entrees are handmade. Even their juices are squeezed by hand! The Beer Hunter Sports Pub & Grill, Submarina, Tavern Grille, Hanna Sushi are all also local favorites.
Education is part of life here too. Menifee is home to Mt. San Jacinto College. Before students can pursue their degree, they must graduate. Your kids will embark on their elementary and middle school educational journey at Menifee Union School District or Romoland School District. Then the Perris Union High School District will help them walk across the graduation state with diploma in hand.
