The official nickname of Mansfield, Ohio is “The Fun Center of Ohio”. The city also goes by other popular titles including the “Racing Capital of Ohio” and the “Carousel Capital of Ohio”. Mansfield is an education hub, being home to nine public schools and three institutions of higher learning, including a regional campus of the Ohio State University. The city is also very well placed in the interstate highway system. The city is part of the historic Lincoln Highway and is connected to many major cities through routes I-71 and US-30. Ohio 309 connects Mansfield residents to a prominent shopping area of suburban Ontario and is one of the two divided highways serving the city.
