Builders
Collectively, Sunfield builders offer more than 50 floorplans; you’re bound to find the perfect fit. Here’s a sampling of builders in the community:
Take a look at CastleRock Homes and the 21 designs they have to offer, with prices ranging from the $200’s to the low $400’s. Most of their plans include an open-concept kitchen that feeds into a living room and dining space, and the master bedroom is often isolated from other bedrooms. These features make homes by CastleRock perfect for growing families or those that enjoy entertaining.
Centex Homes brings six designs to Sunfield, with prices beginning in the upper $100’s. Four of their modern floorplans are two story, and the one-story plans have spread-out bedrooms to allow for privacy and quiet. Spacious great rooms and open concept kitchens come standard in homes by Centex, and optional upgrades allow for each floorplan to be customized to your family’s needs.
The 10 designs starting in the low $200’s from Gehan Homes are all highly-customizable floorplans. Consider the Palm or Laurel floorplan: both come standard as single stories but have an optional second floor. The Magnolia is a larger option, featuring up to five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a formal dining room, and a breakfast nook.
Pulte Homes offers 12 designs starting in the $200’s. Their options are wide-ranging, including the Fox Hollow design from the Parkside Series, with its spacious kitchen and open-concept layout; or the larger Granville from the Enclave Series, which comes standard as a two story with an isolated owner’s suite on the first floor.
William Lyon Homes has seven designs for homeowners to consider, with prices in the low- to-mid $200’s. Consider the Rhapsody floorplan, with its open great room, dining room, and kitchen space for ideal entertainment; or the Sonata, which has extended porch space for relaxation.
On-Site Amenities
Sunfield is determined to help you connect with the community at large by offering amenities and resources designed around helping you meet your neighbors. The Sunbright Amenity Center is a great place to meet up with family and friends: the 8,000 square foot open air pavilion, Junior Olympic pool, splash zone, and barbecue grills make hosting and attending parties easy and fun. Wi-Fi is also available throughout the space.
There are hike and bike trails, catch and release ponds, and community gardens throughout Sunfield, as well as two off-leash dog parks and several playscapes. The new amenity center is also a community favorite, with its nearly 1,000-foot-long lazy river, multiple water features, activity pool, and 25,000 square foot deck with shaded areas for outdoor enjoyment.
Off-Site Amenities
When you step outside the community, there are more than 10 scenic places in the area to enjoy, as well as Historic Downtown Buda, which features local artisans and events regularly. Sunfield is less than 20 miles from central Austin, so the hustle and bustle of city life is within reach.
Schools
The Texas Education Agency assesses the performance of students in public grade school using the Texas Academic Performance Report, or TAPR (formerly Academic Excellence Indicator System, or AEIS). Scoring districts is as follows:
A – Exemplary Performance
B – Recognized Performance
C – Acceptable Performance
D – In Need of Improvement
F – Unacceptable Performance
Beginning in 2019, individual campuses are being ranked on the same scale. Previously, they were given a score of Met Standard, Met Alternative Standard, Improvement Required, Not Rated, or Not Rated: Data Integrity Issues.
Hays Consolidated Independent School District
Sunfield is zoned to Hays CISD, which serves more than 23,000 students annually on 26 different campuses. The HCISD district earned a “B” accountability rating 2022 academic year.
Student living in Sunfield in grades kindergarten through 5th are zoned to Tom Green Elementary, located at 1301 Old Goforth Road. Their mascot is the Hornet. For sixth, seventh, and eighth graders, Sunfield students attend Dr. T.C. McCormick Middle School at 5700 Dacy Lane. Sunfield high schoolers enroll as Rebels at Jack C. Hays High School at 4800 Jack C. Hays Trail. Part of Sunfield will also be zoned to the new Moe and Gene Johnson High School, which will serve just over 2,200 students.
