I understand that Covid is messed a lot of things up, but to take more than 13 months for basic house is ridiculous. Also, not to be able to make any changes at all was frustrating. You should call yourself Bloomfield track homes. I will say that the communication or lack there of was the biggest issue for us. From the salesman to the builder it was terrible. And the attitude that we were so lucky to even be getting a house when there were so many on the waiting list. We still over paid for a basic home, but I guess we should be grateful. I heard great reviews about the company. I was referred by someone in another subdivision. I visited several other locations and experienced high level of professionalism. I was expecting the same level of professionalism here but didn't receive it. I was first ignored, then greeted by "Are you buying, if not you can look around because I'm busy..." I informed the sales personnel that I was interested. I was told to get pre-approved. The first time I called the mortgage company to get pre-approved I was approved within minutes. I informed the sales person of the approval thinking the unprofessional questions would stop but they didn't. I have never been ask so many unprofessional questions while making a purchase. I was asked "Why was I buying a house this big. Who is going to live with me? Are you renting rooms? .There are other single black females purchasing..." I was determined not to let those things deter me from building my dream home. I picked a home that the contract fell thru because the sales person said it would be complete sooner. I requested to select some of the interior & change elevation or add stone. I was told I couldn't change the elevation or add even though the house had not been built, only the foundation was laid. Eventually I was told I could make minor changes for flooring, tile, paint etc. I was given a short time to make the selections & felt rushed. I even communicated this and was given excuses. Several items I requested I was told not to get it or I didn't need them.. For example, I wanted a custom closet. I was told they are too expensive. I said I wanted a 3 car garage. I was told I didn't need a 3 car garage, there are some with 2 1/2. I ask for tile in the master bedroom and was told I could get it after I move in. I finally said I was not going to compromise with that. I understood the market, supplies etc., I patiently waited. The day I closed and picked up my keys the sales person told me she was surprised I closed, she didn't think I was going to purchase and ask her coworkers the same question. I ask why did she feel that I wasn't going to purchase, it wasn't because of financing or my desire. ... More

The list of issues was addressed in a timely manner but still pending a few.

We have built before with Bloomfield, but this experience was quite different. Unfortunately, the Project Manager, Floyd Argue, decided that he would not fix any issues on the house and actually asked us not to contact him with concerns. He struggled with basic knowledge of the building process and was not available for questions, concerns, or even basic walk through.

Not happy with the quality of workmanship and very long wait time without any reasonable explanation. There are multiple small issue all around the house which makes you feel like buying a used home rather than the brand new house. We did not want them to delay the closing to address those little issues, due to our existing extended lease expiration date. I know, there is warranty available to address those issues which is very nice to know but as I said,I would expect them to be done properly at first place in a BRAND NEW home. Also, I have observed, some certain plans are built by different contractors and they are built way faster than some homes.I know multiple people that has closed 2-3 earlier than us ,even though they have signed the contract 2-3 months later than us which is not fair and that should be planned properly. ... Houses poorly made. Material is cheap. Still waiting for my screens to be put on. Garage (concert) unfinished. Shower floor is chipping. Kitchen Cabinets drawers (two) fell off the roller making it hard to open & close. I was told the floors were real hardwood I dnt think they are. The toilet (I have 3) were the cheapest toilets BF could. I already replaced 1, i will be replacing the other 2. Made a report got no response.

The workmanship was par at best. Multiple mistakes. Slow response times. We closed on our house and things still aren’t correct. I won’t build through Bloomfield in the future.

GOOD MORNING I have 7 more things on my list to be fix. SOMR HOLES YOU CAN SEE. I would love to see these things DONE before Christmas!!! Please come and fix the holds they left in my bathrooms, I very tire of my 75 year old husband shoving mud every time it rain. I hope I can get a Pressure wash before Christmas. Its been muddy and dirty since Day one. I paid for a Half of Million home, I deserve a Half a Million Home.

The entire buying experience was good.The sales and construction teams were great.We like the design and the construction of Bloomfield homes.

John and Mike have been excellent. They have responded very quickly when I have had questions or concerns. Compared to other builders my family has experienced, we all agree that Bloomfield is the best.

Unfortunately, my home buying experience with Bloomfield Homes has been horrible so far. On my closing day (Oct 17) approx 75% of final repairs were not completed as promised. To make matters worse, Jared, the project manager was so disrespectful and threw a tantrum when asked about said repairs. He does not take accountability in making sure that Bloomfield Homes are completed to their once reputable standards. Two weeks after moving into my home I experienced a leak in my ceiling that was supposedly repaired prior to closing. I also experienced a gas leak in my two days before Thanksgiving. There is not a rush to get any repairs done after closing( even though they are in writing). I had to contact the coporate office to get any repairs started. Seems bloomfield is more concerned with performing the bare minimum to sell than turning a quality product. Approximately 2 months in and already submitting a second list of warranty items. This one to include excessive floor noise from the second level while several issues have still not been addressed from the first warranty submitted. At no point during the process did we feel our construction manager was committed to quality and it's coming to show now that we are living in the home. I'm very concerned the upstairs floor issues will not be addressed or take an extremely long time to fix as its been several weeks and we still have not had simple paint issues resolved. ... More

David was exceptional and extremely knowledgeable about the process for us. We really enjoyed working with him and Chuck our builder. We are extremely satisfied with the quality of home that was built for us.

As a Realtor, I have had the opportunity to visit and show my clients several homebuilders and Bloomfield Homes is one of my favorites! So, after closing a Bloomfield Home with two families, I was able to notify the Sales Team that it was my turn and they were just as excited as I was! Jeff was amazing ! he went above and beyond and made our first home shopping less stressful. He was there to answer any questions and made us engaged through out the whole process.

It wasn't easy to communicate with the builder. My questions were answered with (per code, within the limit, per design). The builder had fake passed test reports and was trying to convince me that everything was perfect, while my 3rd party inspection found lots of minor and major issues.

Buyer pay close attention. When they tell you to point out any issues, DO IT. The builder is not checking any quality. They just let to contractors do as they please. I was surprised at what we had to point out to be fixed. I thought obvious issues would be dealt with but no. They use the cheapest constructed cabinets I’ve ever seen. Zero quality. Zero pride in workmanship. Instead of making cabinet seems fit they just stick trim over the seam. Cabinet guides were bent and not parallel. Obvious from the beginning. I kept being told everything would be taken care of. Now 1 month into occupancy and I have brand new cabinet drawer that bind up and jump the tracks. I expected better for a $500k plus home but was told by the supervisor these are production homes. That’s what you get. Overall a nice home but do not give a non refundable deposit. The overall experience was very frustrating and most of the frustration was unavoidable due to the Covid effect. Jeff always responded though no matter how many questions I had about my home. One thing I did come to appreciate is Bloomfield not cutting corners like I heard other builders were doing leaving buyers very upset with the quality of their home. The thing I hated most at times was the picture updates when the house was at a standstill. Sara was always a joy to chat with during those extended delays as well.
