Unfortunately our experience has not been a good one… delayed build, delayed closing, and lots of quality issues (crooked door and window frames, locks not working, gate won’t close, dry walled over fridge water lines and air vents, lots of debris and nails left in yard, permanent markings on patio cement, appliances blowing the bad seamen breakers, to common area over watering and flooding the yard). We are 2 months in and still having issues. It has been very disappointing.

Thought we would give Lennar a second chance. Only good thing about it was our salesman Cody. We received the home on time but it was filthy. We complained on walk thru but nothing changed. We cleaned it ourselves. Workmanship is below par as well as quality of cabinets, appliances. Disappointing.

The final walk through was chaotic as the superintendent rushed through many issues. We didn’t have ample time to inspect the major issues and only in out when moving it. But once the problems submitted they were handled in a timely manor.

I was warned that Lennar builds cheap homes. I should have listened. It all started on the intial pre-closing walk with our superintendent Luis where we gave him a punch list of items that needed to be addressed. Six days later (1 day before our closing and when we were to move out of our current home) I was called by Luis and told he couldn’t get the majority of things done but he promised we would have them addressed starting the week after we closed. So, we trusted him and on Thursday, October 17 we closed and got our keys. That is the day we started noticing there was more than a punch ...

Loan process was good..home buying agents did not tell the truth and lead you to believe false home releases. Qualify for your money is poor..no landscaping..walls and floors needed Touchup/cleanup, poor baseboard conversion, no pullout cupboards for ease in getting out pots/pans..last cupboard is so high no one can reach it without a stool, light switches are not marked so you don't know which is light, outlet, fan. 2nd home needs more draws in kitchen
Lennar responded:

Love the Layout, the Workmanship is poor
- Jessica S.

We love the layout of the home which is why we picked it. The Workmanship is poor. We have paint runs down the banister, all across the baseboards, the subfloor wasn't installed properly in the bathroom creating tile cracks. Had that fixed and now the grout is cracked. It takes forever for someone to come out and fix anything. The outside cleaning that was supposed to be completed in November had yet to be done and it is currently March. The paint job is horrible! The banister received 1 coat, the wood is showing through, there is building dust painted into the banister. Its horrible. For a ...

Communication with buyer falls short after purchase. Slow to react to problems found by buyer. Many issues with clean up after contractors were done--not acceptable to any home buyer. Craftsmanship of home left alot to be desired. Shoddy work. Appliances were not the same ones that were shown in model home. Seller explained, at time of buying decision, that we would get the appliances shown in model home. The price we bought at appeared to be a great buy but we find it has fallen way short of our expectations.

Prior to Closing we were prepared to forfeit our deposit and walk away. It had become clear that Lennar's only interest was closing sales, not Customer Satisfaction. The "Inventory" house we selected, completed months earlier, wasn't actually finished upon closing. The day we took possession, we waited outside in the Arizona heat, while the vent hood above the gas cooktop was delivered and installed. The AC system was not fully functional for months. The natural gas supply line to the furnace had never been installed. The house was delivered with filthy air filters, and a dozen dead shrubs. ...

Don’t expect service after they have your money. We closed 1st week of Feb 2021 still waiting for them to complete work orders for repair or correction of items in build. Less then half have been completed or started. Items like door cracked, bad refrigerator, drywall repair. painting are just a few things. This is mid June 2021. Great place to live great lot. Extremely stressful when you paid for something you did not get and promises broken. Our Construction Manager was good then got overwhelmed with other new builds. Not enough help to take care of homeowners who already paid!

As a Experienced Homeowner I was Very disappointed with the builder’s team. Outside Financing, if at Possible regardless of the “Builders Incentive”it’s not worth it you will pay in the end. With a large down payment I still have a (PMI)! After you have finalized the purchase of your New Home your concerns will be slow with Repairs & Warranties. Not Timely! The concept of a NextGEN home is awesome, But the Quality of the building materials are Inexpensive and Cheap, (Cabinets). Small bedrooms and garage. Upgrades are sold to you as a packaged. No flexibility or choice. Very limited. ...

We are now almost 5 months after our close and still have multiple issues which need to be addressed. We have tried to have a door replaced for months but either the door is delivered damaged, the hardware is not correct, the painter comes with the wrong color, etc. We have had the entire electric box replaced, the slider was a problem before and after the closing. The air conditioner was wired incorrectly and we have had a multitude of other issues. It has been exhausting and ruined our experience of buying a new home. The subcontractors lack quality in their work and often make things ...

Biggest issue revolved around the Lennar Mortgage loan team. Kept asking for ridiculous amounts of documents and statements. Felt I was bring criminally investigated, and not purchasing a home. Even after the loan closed the loan team asked me for statements. Loan team was very difficult to work with and despite complaints to supervision and management, the loan team kept asking for documents. I had to write a statement why I use my checking account to pay my credit card bills. Far too many regular purchases made by me required the loan team for unreasonable supporting documents.

Lennar mortgage was one of the worst experiences ever. My family was lied to and told so much incorrect information. We were told we had to pay 60k in taxes that we actually didn't even have to pay. We ended up using NFM lending and had a much better experience.

Lennar offered great incentives, but were quick to try and deny our application. They made us jump hurdles, i.e. requested my wife to get a letter from management at current employer only to find out we couldn't use it and she was basically forced to get a job within 2 weeks in a new state. Closing was in limbo for well over a month which finally closed a week before Christmas. House we were living in was emptied out and we were essentially homeless if it didn't close. My children lost their Christmas and the process was simply unacceptable. I want to clarify this was Lennar lending ...

First off and let me say that is review is just a summary of the problems. Lennar forgot to finished installing the proper parts for the heater so when my family and I decided to run the heat, it didn’t work The AC had to be fixed 3 times since moving in and I’ve only been in the house for 6 months. Tile crack The glaze on the tile in the shower is pealing. Their contractors that do work on the homes never show up on time or they decide to show up when ever they want. Carpet is already buckling Overall it’s been a bad experience in regards to workmanship. The only positive is Tom. ...

Buying a first home is supposed to be a joyous, monumental achievement. For me, it turned into an unnecessarily stressful and deeply unpleasant experience, largely due to a complete lack of professionalism, empathy, and communication from the team, particularly the Lennar employee handling the initial process. The very first interaction, which should set an encouraging tone, was instead one of humiliation. While running my numbers, the Lennar representative managed to make me feel "less than"—as if I wasn't worthy of buying a home. This is unacceptable. As a first-time buyer, you already ...
