Pulte has a good reputation to be a good home builder. After coming into the house there was a few worksmanship issues that I had to fix such as paint on the floor not cleaned up, lots of gaps in moulding that you will have caulk yourself. overall its a good company but I really wish they progress more into eco friendly material as closed cell foam instead of loose white fluff, more premium standard materials and maybe be have solar energy standard accross any community they build instead of have legislation forcing them too. Conclusion its a good buy for people on a budget.

Great initial delivery but too many small issues later

I was very happy with the initial delivery and construction of the home, but afterwards I have not been able to get significant issues resolved. This is partly due to Covid-19 , but we have issues in the home that should have been caught before we moved in that we have had to live with for the last 1.5 months and counting. I am concerned that I wont be able to get them fixed after the crisis ends.

I feel that some short cuts were taken. The sheet rock wasn’t good quality. The master bathroom shower is poorly built and the frame is of poor quality. The construction manager Sefano is extremely good in taking care of issue that he can.

I feel the quality of our home we built with Standard Pacific (now CalAtlantic) homes was a better quality home. We had less issues moving in and the home was entirely ready when we moved in. However, Pulte told us they had a 7-9mo build time and it was done in 5, which put us in a bad spot with our lease. Then, they were scrambling to get everything done by closing. And when we moved in, there were still things missing or broken. Not the best experience and it didn’t give us much faith in the integrity of the home.

We feel that we paid top price for our condo, but the workmanship in the kitchen area is not the best and worry that with in a year there may be more problems.

Great location. The townhome finished with my requested upgrades perfectly, and was “on time”. Since moving in, there have been fit and finish issues with the construction that need work (missing caulking in kitchen leading to bugs in the house). And the continued construction outside the house each morning at 7 limits any opportunity for sleep. I knew the latter though going into the purchase. Dimensions of the hallway/stairs make your furniture choices very limited. Something I didn’t consider pre purchase. Otherwise a great place. I receive many compliments on how nice the place is. We love our house, the builder was very attentive to us during the entire process , only concern/complain is that there were a lot of small details inside the house, i know its very hard for the builder to keep everything perfect having several workers in and out but lot of details on the painting, on the base boards, on the walls, ceiling , tiles , etc , for the price , all of that should not be present. One thing worth to mention, is that the responsiveness when submitting a service request is very fast!

They were great, mostly kept to deadlines and built the house much faster than I expected. The quality was very good, but probably not "luxury" as described. The house shows beautifully, but everything is just a tiny bit smaller than it looks when you start living in it (showers, width of driveway, size of garage, dishwasher, sinks, etc) all feels smaller than it looks in the model. Very efficient, but I would not describe as luxury. Lots of things got pushed until after closing, but they are pretty good about keeping their promises and trying to respond to all issues.

Pulte Homes and their sales office were fantastic, along with their walk thru team. However, Pulte Mortgage was the worst company I have ever dealt with and would never do a loan through them again. As a Realtor and someone who has purchased many homes, I have never had a worst experience.

Pulte BPC/Mudroom is very functional and serves as a second office on the first floor. The doorways upstairs are narrow and the air return vents above the bedrooms do not allow for privacy. Expected better workmanship overall for the price.

Lot price was very reasonable compares to other builders. Our sales person was wonderful and communicated with us through out the 7 month building process. We moved in mid June, found 12 problems in the house after living there for over a month. Warranty group is great and responsive, but these issues should be avoid if the work were done it right at first place. My advice to new buyers is that they need to hire their own inspector before closing.

Overall a good and happy experience, some minor issues we came across after closing but are being corrected in a timely and professional manner. Suggestions would be to change out the air filters as soon as possible after closing, register appliances and begin a list of items that need to be addressed for the first year warranty.

Purchased a home in the Heartwood neighborhood marked our second home-buying experience, and we wanted to ensure everything was in proper condition prior to move-in. The day before our scheduled final walk-through, we met with the builder’s manager and conducted our own inspection. Disappointed with the quality. Omission of fixtures like towel bars, toilet paper holder, garage unpainted. Up graded kitchen but still not high end appliances. Master shower head is so high we can't reach without a ladder ( Michael Jordan doesn't live here). Garage is so small it is hard to get 2 medium sized cars in it. Many of our scrubs are dead. Drainage issues (working on). Lots are really small for this price house. Vinal siding is low grade ( rattles when the wind blows).

The maintenance people seem to be very responsive and have indicated that the warranties will be honored. I am disappointed in the quality of the cabinetry and carpet, as well as the interior paint, for the price we paid. The electrical outlet configuration is odd. Our salesperson wasn't as well informed as could have been, so there have been some surprises. But, we love the efficiency of the home.

I guess this is partially our fault for not asking the right questions as new buyers, but when we were choosing our lot, we were shown the lot which we loved and the elevation. We signed the contract and put our deposit down. Come to find out there was a fire hydrant very close to our driveway, causing them to cut into our driveway, and now we’re basically stuck with a single driveway instead of double. I normally wouldn’t do a review until everything all the issues that have been identified in the home are complete. The quick response from Pulte title company was great. However, when it came to fixing issues it is a little subpar. After closing over a month in half I am still waiting to close out an item that needs fixing which was identified prior to closing.
