The whole process of buying a new home with Pulte - from the initial visit at the sales office and visiting the models to closing to post-closing - was very easy and painless. Such a professional company. We love the house! We did find a handful of things after closing but everything has been taken care of within weeks. It’s been 2 months since we closed and there is still one item left to be repaired. It’s great to have the fit and finish warranty though! Pulte has stood by their workmanship and we love our new home and the community that’s still being built!

We love our home and we know there is a staffing crisis but we’ve had lots of issues. Our PM Josh did a good job but we discovered some things our first month in the home. Here’s a list of our outstanding work orders: Electrical team didn’t properly install exterior light plug, cat 5 wires or high surge protected outlet for tv mount. Still waiting on tv outlet. Garage door makes a “popping” sound-awaiting repair. 2 Blue exterior light boxes exposed awaiting mortar. Outdoor light “sagging” Caulk around bathroom window. Cabinet door above microwave unhinged Rehang study door (small scratch in glass) No privacy lock for the master bedroom Gaps in front pillars need mortar to cover. Before I go into the build process, I want to call out Shandra for being a great selling agent. She helped us along the way and was an advocate for us from the start. We began with one project manager, Brandon, who was excellent. He made me feel comfortable and in good hands from our first virtual meeting. Every week he would send us emails with pictures, letting us know what was accomplished and what the plan for the next week was. During my pre-drywall inspection, he was very thorough, and let me know the ins and outs of our soon-to-be new home. Unfortunately, a week later he left the company, and things began to go downhill from there. The new project manager, Brad, did not keep us up-to-date on the building process. We had to send multiple emails to him to try and find out what was going on. We received a brief email from him on July 16th, without pictures, concerning the progress of our home, which contained an excessive amount of typos. On the 25th, I sent an email with questions about progress and potential closing dates. It took him six days to respond to me, in which we were "given" final walk and closing dates. The next time we heard from him was August 16th with an email in which he wanted to know if there were any questions or concerns, and what he could do better. We gave him that feedback the following day, and never heard from him until our "celebration" walkthrough. It was nothing close to a celebration, and in fact had the wind taken out of our sails, in what should have been a very exciting experience. He admittingly had not been in the home since Thursday, and it was nowhere near ready to be shown as a walkthrough. He attempted to call us 2 hours beforehand (on the wrong number). encouraging us to reschedule. We clearly did not receive the phone call, so showed up as scheduled. There were holes in the walls, mud all over the floors, the banister was on the floor, the planning center countertop was not installed, trim outside was not painted, a wire for the front porch was lost, and a hole had to be cut in the soffit to find it. We got to the top of the stairs and we ended the walk. My wife left the walkthrough in tears. We then came back on Wednesday, to a somewhat improved situation, but were at the house for over three hours "after" walking it with Brad, to tape up all of the imperfections. At this point, the whole house needed to be repainted. We ran out of a full roll of painters tape. This should not have been our job... it should have been Pulte's! He needs to make sure that when I walk in that home I have trouble finding anything wrong (at least that's what the signage that Pulte advertises says). We were actually told they were working on changing the verbiage because it was an unrealistic expectation for owners to walk in on a walk through and expect perfection. What? Failure at the core! Even at the final closing day walkthrough there were a ton of items that we called out, that still have not been totally completed 2 months after closing. Since moving in, we have discovered paint circles on our Owner's Suite bathroom countertop, a trim piece that is damaged and needs to be replaced, grass that won't grow in because the soil has been contaminated with paint or cleaner (you can still see paint stains on nearly 1/3 of our lawn), and a garage door that does not function properly. Not to mention we don't have cold water in one of our guest bathrooms. The craftmanship of this home is something to be desired, and we feel that we are stuck in the biggest investment of our lives. We would never recommend Pulte to anyone! Even our realtor was disgusted with the entire process, and said Pulte went from being her #1 recommended builder, to one of her least recommended builders. She had 3 other clients at the time, 2 of which were looking to build with Pulte, but were spared the headache because she saw our experience firsthand and pointed them in a different direction. For a 444K home, we shouldn't have had to, nor continue to have to, micromanage the execution of our home nearly as much as we've had to these past 3 months. Pulte should care just as much about the quality of our home as we do, but have continued to disappoint us with their clear disregard, and honestly, their overall care about us as clients. As homes continue to close, we continue to get forgotten about and have to routinely send follow-up emails to both Brad and Chris. Our lawn is destroyed, there's a 5in divot in our front yard (which my wife sprained her ankle in the other day, hence how we discovered it), and items continue to sit left unattended, even though we were told they'd be completed 30 days after closing. I don't live a life of regrets, but going with Pulte is by far one of the biggest regrets yet. ... More

This was our first new home build, and Pulte was great through the entire process. We are so happy with our new home.

My purchase experience with Pulte Homes was great, friendly staff especially the sales manager Jill, the quality of the new house is excellent and everything was on time from signing the contract to receiving the keys, Thank you Pulte Homes :)

they are ok if you don't know much about building homes

I am extremely impressed with their response time, support and professionalism All my concerns or issues with my beautiful Pulte home have been addressed immediately. Everyone on the team has made my transition from NJ to Texas easier and stress free. I feel like they take a personal interest in satisfying all their customers. Coming from NJ it takes a lot to impress me and this team has succeeded.

Interior design, location, insulation quality are good.

The staff works hard to meet your needs. Overall I am pleased with my experience with Pulte. There are a few areas I think could use improvement but at the local level, the staff worked hard to create the house I wanted. Wish surveys for the project managers were not sent right when I moved in. Too much going on to write an accurate review for the team. I felt the mortgage side of Pulte was pushed a little too much. For a person who never had a house built, there were some communication issues.

Overall great experience. Post closing issue resolution has been very slow and not customer focused as they lack the sense of urgency of the issue.

I would never buy a Pulte home again.

It is important to look very carefully at EVERYTHING and possibly have a third party inspection before taking possession of the house. In the current climate of workers, it is difficult to get people to come back for repairs in a timely manner.

The builder's sales agent was very humble, respectful and helpful. She worked with us throughout the building process. The Constructors were also on point. They addressed all our issues in time and listened to our opinions. Overall great building experience. Pulte rocks.

They rush through the construction, which leads to a lot of waiting for them to fix mistakes or damages. Project managers pressure you to complete your first survey. They want you to say all is well, even though it isn’t, promising all will be fixed in a timely manner. Pulte charges full HOA dues even though all amenities are not yet available. Two months after closing they’re still fixing things because they didn’t do it right the first time.

The day of our celebration walk we noticed there were holes and bad paint job all over the house. Shoe moldings had dirt and damages.....our quartz kitchen counter too was damaged during construction so was our fidge. It had scratch marks all over. There were damages to some planks on our LVP flooring during construction. Kitchen cabinets had scratch marks, our front yard's grass is missing....steps on stairs are loose and hazardous! The garage door looked second hand with damages all over and the front entrance needed to be painted it had dirt and holes oll over. The loft door is missing screen doors. When we raised these issues with the onsite project manager, we were told this is not a custom built home. It was shocking to us. Even if it's not a custom built home we paid for a newly constructed home with new appliances NOT damaged home and damaged appliances. At least fix these issues or return some money to us so we can get these things fixed ourselves. Before closing the house we were told some of these things would get fixed, especially the floor and the missing screens for our loft doors, it's been almost 2 months since we moved into our new home and none of these things got fixed. Do their homework care about the buyer I closed on a home that was 3/4 finished with promises that it would be taken care of and til today 6 weeks after closing they still are not completed they never return calls and they have poor service I wish I could sell back tomorrow
