I have purchased Lennar Homes in the past (Cal-Atlantic/Ryland Homes) by far this was the worst home buying experience. If it wasn't for the lot size and location, I should have gone with one of the other builders in the neighborhood (Stanley Martin or Providence Homes). The sales experience was terrible both salespeople were not on the same page and took a long time to get a response back. As far as the builder and follow up person they were great and overworked because they had a lot of building going on, but when I was able to speak with them they were able to respond to my questions. ...

We moved in to the house 3 months back and the drive way concrete had multiple wide cracks, when approached with the problem, the builder is not ready to fix because the external concrete is not covered in the warranty items. So we are not happy with the response.

3rd still not happy

I don't think Lennar is in sink with all of there offices. whey will call you for closing when the home is not ready. if you give then 10 week heads up that you will be on Military orders they don't care and still set you up to close that day even if the home is not done. I think the next time we start looking for a new home we will start by looking for a new builder.

Overall exterior and interior trim work was extremely poor massive amounts of caulk used to close poor craftsmanship / millwork. MI windows are falling a part - they will all need to be replaced within 12/15 years.

It’s NOT worth the headache to use Lennar mortgage for the credits the offer. Our loan took over 60 days because Patrick the loan officer was incompetent. Repeatedly asked for the same documents and did not know how to read bank statements. It caused so much stress for my husband and I.

We haven't bought a home in 15 yrs and hope we never have to again. If we ever do it won't be with Lennar. I don't know even where to start so I'll stick to the facts. First off they sent us the contract with floor plan and we were so happy....until we saw the house in person and realized they SENT US THE WRONG FLOOR PLAN!!! Docusign horrible to get access, first mortgage guy I felt with unhelpful and didn’t answer my questions. Paperwork had to be sent to lenders multiple times because they never received it. Poor planning and lack of communication

We didn’t have mail for 5 weeks. Lennar changed our town and zip twice within 3 weeks and caused is to lose packages, checks, gift cards, and bills. We are still having issues to this day with address standardization. Imagine losing birthday presents and having your credit card declined at stores due to incorrect billing address issues caused by Lennar. We had to do our own research how to get mail and garbage and utilities setup. Our experience with Lennar Mortgage was so stressful and disorganized that we ultimately switch lender. Communication was inconsistent, they kept asking for the same documents, and we kept getting conflicting information and last-minute issues that delayed everything. The lack of professionalism made the process extremely frustrating, and we would not recommend them.

This was our 3rd Lennar home and it will definitely be our last. Our first two homes were fine but this last one was downright ridiculous. From the beginning it was miscommunication to no communication with Lennar lending. No one wants to take responsibility when things go wrong. Was doing conventional loan and had to repeatedly send same items multiple times before they would get entered correctly on Lennar side. Lending agent was not knowledgeable with loans despite him insisting on his vast experience.

This was the most difficult purchase of real estate that I have experienced in my 50 years of real estate investment. The entire staff need to be retrained. The title company group was the worst!

We purchased a house from Lennar in Tucson AZ in 2006 which we still own, and the experience was great. When moving to NC there was no question who we were going to buy a house from; Lennar. Biggest issue revolved around the Lennar Mortgage loan team. Kept asking for ridiculous amounts of documents and statements. Felt I was bring criminally investigated, and not purchasing a home. Even after the loan closed the loan team asked me for statements. Loan team was very difficult to work with and despite complaints to supervision and management, the loan team kept asking for documents. I had to write a statement why I use my checking account to pay my credit card bills. Far too many regular purchases made by me required the loan team for unreasonable supporting documents.

Very Disappointing Experience

I would not recommend this builder. Throughout the process, they were unwilling to discuss or accommodate any changes, even reasonable ones. Several mistakes were made during construction, but instead of taking responsibility or working toward a fair solution, they refused to acknowledge them. The closing process was extremely difficult — they pushed to close three months before the original commitment date and showed no flexibility or willingness to work with the buyer. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish.

The condition of house was bad. Until yesterday I had toilet seat issues. I dont mind them charging me couple thousands more and give better quality. Worst experience ever. Completely unresponsive to any question we had. The minute we signed the agreement to purchase and sent over the deposit it was all down hill and a horrible experience. Buying are first home was suppose to be a memorable happy experience and all I have is frustration and buyers remorse because how bad the customer service was. 100% will not recommend buying a new Lennar home to anyone.
