We had a bad experience buying a home with Lennar. We felt rushed and pressured to purchase our home, while we were on vacation, otherwise Lennar stated that they would remove the incentives offered to us. We continually were referred to different people for every little detail. There was no one consistently available for us to discuss issues with. Everything had to be documented by email, as several people would not speak on the phone! Even now, 7 weeks following our purchase, I am unable to get answers to simple questions concerning our home! Disappointing Experience

I was so excited to buy a Lennar home, but the escrow experience was horrible. I dealt with unresponsive escrow people, even calling the Homebuyer Concierge rep and never getting any follow up contact, which begs the question as to what kind of concierge services do they provide. The only thing they seemed interested in was getting their money. Plus, there were offers made that we never completed.

The loan/underwriting process was the most demanding and intensive process I've ever been through AND this is my third home to own. They needed so many documents that had me questioning, "Why do they need this?" I'm telling folks not to purchase a Lennar.

Do not purchase a Lennar. The loan/underwriting process was very intense. Also, make sure you know what you are NOT getting before you move into your home. They focus on what it includes, but don't tell you what you are not getting. For example: Refrigerator, back door blinds, bathroom shower racks, shower curtain rods, DOOR BELL, washer and dryer (may sure to check the connections) guest bedroom closet lights. I wouldn't do this again.....

My buyer experience was something to be desired. I have purchased several homes from Lennar without any significant problems. They were not prepared to provide service from financing, closing and move in. If you. Had a question regarding anything, there was either no response or you had to go through numerous people. The did not know the correct post office to establish mail delivery. We were very disappointed. No one was in charge of this new community. This was not a good experience.

Although Pam, my sales rep, and Des, my builder rep did their best to accommodate, it’s obvious to me that Lennar’s puts profits over customers. No blinds or even towel / to racks. Lawn is embarrassingly awful. Kitchen island crooked. Kitchen countertops amateur job. Light switches in random /stupid places. I have 3 Lennar homes now. Won’t do it again.

Roaches!!!!! Broken oven.

My home is brand new! You did not treat for roaches spiders. You left my front door open over night and I am still dealing with all the bugs in my house. Horrible purchase. There was nothing good to discuss in terms of me closing on my new home. The only good thing to talk about was that the warranty people were great at responding to issues because they had to see me many times in the first month of purchase. This is my second Lennar house, our experience with our 1st house in CO was outstanding, 2nd in TX is not good, very poor work Manship, QC extremely poor, baseboard is, in some places 1/4" off floor, just filled with a massive amount of caulk looks terrible, millwork is all dented, door frames cut way to short & filled in where frame meets door with a massive amount of caulk, door hinges painted white, paint already coming off

It’s kind of a long story but they basically stole money from me. They have been completely dishonest. Lied and kept giving me the run around. Lack of communication on her part was ridiculous! Started buying process 8/24 and was not informed about a project manager until home was 6 weeks from being COMPLETE! No one called me for any inspections (drywall) of which I wanted to be included in. Don't finance with Lennar

Lennar mortgage was one of the worst experiences ever. My family was lied to and told so much incorrect information. We were told we had to pay 60k in taxes that we actually didn't even have to pay. We ended up using NFM lending and had a much better experience.

Very bad communication and lengthy warranty claims

I got sold a pretty affordable home. I had to put in a warranty claim to fix the floors and it’s been almost two months as of writing this review and it’s still not done. I’ve attempted to get a hold of people from Lennar all the way up to the CEO and have had little to no communication. They closed the warranty ticket over a month ago while I’m still waiting on a flooring company to come and rip out all the LVP flooring and replace it. Communication from loan officer was awful. When concern were brought up we received bare minimum responses. When the idea was brought up to switch lenders, loan officer became defensive and threatened to just cancel everything instead of trying to work it out. Terrible process of buying. The home has been great so far.

Refusal to obey federal law

Sales person violated federal by refusing handicap accommodations. Larry Seiple was tremendous to work with during mortgage process. He is sole reason I did move forward with charges against Lennar. Nightmare

Process at the beginning feels like a dream come true. After 40 days and 3 days before my closing, the nightmare starts. Lennar mortgage denied my application,n and they even care to ask for supporting documentation and anything regarding the denial, I tried to cancel everything with that denial, but Lennar insisted that it was not possible because 30 days had already passed by. Closing nightmare.

We had our closing March 10. We drove from Colorado to Texas into a winter vortex with 2 labradors, 2 cats, two cars and a trailer. Got stranded in the blizzard. Our trailer got stuck at a hotel with no rooms. So we slept in the car freezing all night till we could get towed in the morning. We get to Frisco Tx on March 9 stay in a hotel. The process started out good, we were working with Ali initially. They transferred out case to Heather H. And everything fell apart. She continually called to ask fir documents that were sent 2 to 3 times already, still I was patient, until she contacted us on the day of closing asking for paystubs and w2's. Very bad experience. Dish washer didn’t work properly, door lock didn’t work and ring either. Nothing can be solved by Lennar so I have to waste my time trying to call to the individual warranty. I moved to the community without mailbox. One month picking up the mail at usps. Now they are giving the mailbox key. But I have to drive to doral to pick it up. Everything is very inconvenient

I love my new home BUT the process was not pleasant. The mortage company was not very good. I was told multiple quotes as to how much I was going to need for closing. My closing date was a nightmare, the Benito and (the other woman s name I can't remember) were not great.

My experience from start to end was worst. Lost of lying from different Lennar Reps in terms of what they are telling verbally and cheating with signed doc. Hiding lot of details from customer up front. I made sure to convey my experience with my community who are heavy in investment in real estate to beware from scamming Lennar with all proofs I had.
